I love it when a plan comes together — efficiently!
Today we have a guest blog entry from Loren Dinneen from the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce:
As the leader of the A-Team, Jim “Hannibal” Smith would say, “I love it when a plan comes together.” I think we can all agree that anyone who leads a team that includes Mr. T. is a wise man who knows what he’s talking about. In this case, it’s the value of a well-crafted plan.
A new report by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy, entitled Local Energy Planning in Practice: A Review of Recent Experiences, looks at the work of local governments who have developed plans to capture these benefits for their communities.
The new report summarizes the choices local communities have made in their energy planning processes. It compares the planning activities documented in a sample of thirty finalized local energy plans from communities around the United States, and also identifies gaps in current local energy planning practice and specific strategic opportunities for improved management.
Accessing the report requires creating an id and password with the ACEEE but there is not cost.
So be more like the A-Team; roll up your sleeves and don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. Make Hannibal proud and learn more about all the energy efficiency planning that is taking place at the local level!
